2024 Summer Library Kick-Off Party

Summer Library Kick-off Party with GEE Funny Farm
Friday, June 7 @ 5:30 p.m.

Come celebrate the start of the summer library program with us.  GEE Funny Farm will be visiting with their educational animals in the Discovery Park outside of the library.  There will also be food trucks that you can purchase food from and enjoy during the event. 

 

 

 

Summer Outdoor STEAM
Second Tuesday and Fourth Tuesday of the Month @ 2:00 p.m.
At Lewis Park

Join us for four different school-age STEAM programs at Lewis Park.  Each program is ideal for children in grades K-5 but all ages are welcome.  Registration is not required but encouraged.

STEAM Doodle Bots

Doodle Bots
Tuesday, June 11 @ 2:00 p.m.

Take a pool noodle, toothbrush motor, markers, add a dash of creativity and you have our first STEAM Program of the summer - Doodle Bots.  
 
Come create your own fun, chaotic, doodling robot at this event in the Lewis Park Shelter.

Geology Rocks! Rock Science

Geology Rocks!  Come explore the layered worlds of rocks.  Can you tell a sedimentary rock from a igneous rock?  Explore the science of deciphering what a rock is made of to know where it came from.

Rainbow Science

Come explore rainbows for our last STEAM program of the summer.  We will be exploring light science with spectroscopes and creating art with different color experiments.    This program is designed for children in grades K-5.

Adventure with Big Wheels
Thursday, June 13 @ 2:00 p.m.

Explore trucks and create adventurous crafts!    We will have a touch-a-truck event featuring different trucks from village departments in the Spartan Pizza parking lot.  Also stop by the library community room to create crafts to take along on your adventures this summer.

Come laugh, cheer, and become a part of the action! Cameron's show is packed with family friendly comedy. Watch as he balances atop wobbling props, performs incredible acrobatics, and juggles clubs as razor sharp as his wit. This charming show will inspire all and leave you with a new best friend in the circus world.

 

 

 

Drama Camp Finale
Thursday, July 25

This summer the library hosted a drama camp for students in grades 1- 12.  They have worked hard learning all the different aspects of theatre and now they are ready to share what they have learned.  Each class group will be presenting skits and demonstrations of different things they have learned this summer. 

This will be a ticketed event.  Tickets will be issued for each age group.  

1:00pm - 1st - 2nd Grade Group

2:00pm - 3rd - 5th Grade Group

3:00pm - 6th - 12th Grade Group
